Bears, Bears Everywhere January 9-February 28, 2012
Toddlers 18-36 months old accompanied by their favorite adult are invited to attend our winter session of Toddler Time: a 15–20 minute session including books, music and finger plays. We’ll find out about different bears and where they live. Bring your teddy and join us for Bears, Bears, Everywhere. Please email Pam or call the library to register at 740.924.3561 for one of these two classes: Mondays at 6:30PM, or Tuesdays at 10:00AM.
NOTE: There will be no Toddler Time on Monday, January 16th or Monday, February 20th due to holidays.

Bears, Bears Everywhere January 9-March 1, 2012
Curious three, four and five year olds (not enrolled in kindergarten) are invited to Story Time for a 45 minute session of books, music, finger plays and simple crafts about different bears and where they live. Bring your teddy and join us for Bears, Bears, Everywhere. Children must be three by September 30, 2011 to participate. Please email Pam or call the library to register at 740.924.3561 for one of these three sessions: Mondays at 7:00PM; Wednesdays at 10:00AM; or Thursdays at 10:00AM. NOTE: There will be no Story Time on Monday, January 16th or Monday, February 20th due to holidays. |

Thursday, January 12, 3:30–4:30PM
BFF K-3rd graders will start the New Year celebrating friends. We’ll read Tanja Askani’s book A Friend Like You. We’ll talk about how you can be a good friend and how to take care of your friends. Kids will play games and make a craft, along with snacking on yummy treats.
Parents, please remember your child needs to be registered for BFF and Northridge Primary School requires a note for your child to walk over to the library. Please email Pam or contact the library |
Kung Fu Panda 2 (PG): Thursday, January 19 The library shows feature films for children K-5th grades on the third Thursday of every month. Kids can hang with their friends, have some popcorn and watch a movie free of charge in the library meeting room. Kids may bring a water bottle to the movie to wash down the popcorn. CLICK ON THE PANDA FOR A PREVIEW! Children are expected to use good manners while the movie is being shown. Parents are asked to come to the meeting room to pick up their child after the movie is done. Please remember: kids must be registered and if coming directly from Northridge, a note stating they are coming to the Alexandria Public Library needs to be sent to school with your child on Thursday, January 19. Please call 924.3561, email Pam or stop by the library to sign up your child by WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 18, as our attendance for movie day is growing and space is limited. Po is now living his dream as The Dragon Warrior, alongside his friends The Furious Five - Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey. But Po's new life of awesomeness is threatened by the emergence of a formidable villain who plans to use a secret, unstoppable weapon to conquer China.
